Miles Davis reshaped jazz at every turn—from bebop and cool jazz to fusion and hip‑hop. With deep ties to San Francisco and a legacy SFJAZZ has honored for decades, this Jazz Minute highlights his Bay Area history and the many ways SFJAZZ has celebrated his music. We’re now marking Miles’ centennial in 2026 with special concerts and tributes all year long, including an entire Miles Davis-themed week March 19-22, 2026 and the SFJAZZ Gala on May 7, 2026 honoring Miles & Trane at 100.
