They discuss Howard’s beginnings at the church and how his experiences there influenced him, the Texas tenor sound, as well as his plans to for his upcoming show as Resident Artistic Director. You can catch Howard Wiley’s Resident Artistic Director perfomance at the SFJAZZ Center on March 23. The perfomance will also be rebroadcast on SFJAZZ At Home on April 5.
