ABOUT ROSANNE CASH
“One of the most ambitious and literary songwriters of her generation” (Rolling Stone), Cash is a singularly literate and incisive artist whose music transcends genre limitations, freely blending country, folk, pop, blues, and other American roots traditions. Since her 1980 album debut with Right or Wrong, she has had nearly a dozen #1 hit singles on the country charts, including her 1981 breakthrough “Seven Year Ache.” Among her career highlights is her landmark 2009 release The List, distilled from a set of 100 essential country songs given to her at 18 by her father, the legendary Johnny Cash. Rosanne Cash has earned 16 GRAMMY nominations, winning three for her 2014 Blue Note release The River & The Thread and a nomination for her 2018 follow-up, She Remembers Everything. She was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.

Listening Parties offer listeners the chance to get behind-the-scenes and hear about music from the artist’s perspective. The format is an on-stage conversation in the Robert N. Miner Auditorium, accompanied by the artist’s pick of recorded, and sometimes live, excerpts. The conversation closes with questions from the audience.
